Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 & 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon ground all spice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground fennel
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- pinch of salt
- For the icing: Melt butter in a saucepan and add milk. Steep chai tea bag in the liquid for 5 minutes, then discard. Combine together with sugar, vanilla, and milk, and mix until a smooth icing forms.
